Introduction to Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that is centered on the role of the spine and central nervous system in maintaining good health, and leveraging the recuperative power of the body to heal itself naturally and efficiently. The practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (of the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.

Chiropractors identify and correct the cause of health challenges which arise when misalignments of the vertebrae (the small bones that make up the spine) disrupt neurological communications between your brain and the cells, tissues, and organs of the body.

Chiropractors correct these misalignments by gently adjusting the position of the vertebrae of the spine, reducing or eliminating neuropathy (changes in the pathology of the nerves) thus allowing your body to properly self-regulate, adapt and heal.

Introduction to Acupuncture

The term "acupuncture" describes a routine of procedures involving the stimulation of anatomical points on the body using a variety of techniques. The acupuncture technique that has been most often studied scientifically involves penetrating the skin with hair-thin, solid, metallic needles that are manipulated by the hands or by electrical stimulation.

People experience acupuncture differently, but most feel no or minimal pain as the needles are inserted. Some people feel energized by treatment, while others feel relaxed. The method we employ to treat patients is called "Balance Method" or "Distal Point Acuupuncture" which in most cases results in immediate releif of pain seconds after the insertion of the needle. This method is over 2,500 years old and is derived from the Iching, one of the oldest books in the world.
